Wilks Water, Water Auction

The 2015 Water Auction held  Friday (8th May) at Riverina Field Days was a success.

Tom and the team sold in excess of 12,000/ML of water to local and interstate buyers with bidders coming from as far as Adelaide and Brisbane to take part in the auction.

Following trend from last year, water parcels that were passed in at auction are now receiving a lot of inquiry, with most water expected to be sold by the end of the week.

Strong demand for permanent entitlements means we are now seeking parcels of permanent General and High Security water for sale. This shortage in supply is resulting in sellers achieving record prices for water sales in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation area and Murrumbidgee River.

To list your water for sale, call the Wilks Water team on 0269 318 522 or email water@wilkswater.com.au

Thanks goes to Peter Overs Water Broker/Griffith, Neville Allen Stock & Station Agent, Ian Macleod of Hay Real Estate, and to Dan McGreal and Leonie Meginley from Yenda Prods Co-operative Spencer & Bennett for their assistance on the day.
Also a huge thank to all that shown interest in the Wilks Water, Water Auction.

New Water Buyback Commenced

NEW WATER BUYBACK COMMENCED

The Federal Government has commenced a Water Buyback in the Murrumbidgee, Murray and Lower Darling rivers for General and High Security entitlements.

It is open until April 10th next year. Working on a rolling two week period for submissions that are then assessed according to a pre determined maximum price. At that time any unsuccessful tenderers will be invited to re tender at a lower price. This price is based on market information provided by Psi Delta. This market information is based on permanent sales for the June quarter.

Theorems net entitlement  market has been improving rapidly, particularly in the second half of this year. It would seem if the buy back prices are calculated from outdated sales figures, that only uninformed sellers will take prices that are lower than can actually be achieved in the current market.

If you would like further information about the current Buyback Tender, a copy of the Psi Delta pricing report or information about the current market, please contact myself on 0428 694 608 or my office on 0269 318 522.

More than DOUBLE our target raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation

Thank you to all who have shown support for the Wilks Water Pink Ribbon Morning Tea held on Monday 20/10/14.
When planning our event, we had set a fundraising goal of $200.00.

I am pleased to announce that we have raised more than double that, with a grand total of $425.00.

This full amount has been donated directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia.

I would like to extend a special thanks to Simon at Storehouse Deli, Café & Catering for his assistance with catering, and to Harvey Norman Wagga Wagga for donating the use of Nespresso equipment for the morning tea.

Thank you to Kate Cowdroy-Ling for volunteering her time on the day and honourable mention to Wilks Water management and staff for baking and preparing a delicious spread for all to enjoy!

A big thanks to all those who attended the morning tea. We understand it is a very busy time and greatly appreciate your efforts to pop in for the event. We had a great time, and hope you did too!
